Why Do you Need A Day of Coordinator?

If you ask any professional in the wedding industry, they will tell you that it is essential to hire a day coordinator. But why are they so important?

So often, couples think they don’t need a day of coordinator and assign tasks to their wedding guests. Mom is in charge of flowers; your dad is picking up breakfast for everyone, your maid of honor is getting calls while you get ready because your DJ is lost, and you arrive at your reception only to realize the seating chart was set up backward.

For some people, this isn’t a big deal. However, if you had hired a day coordinator, your mom would have been able to relax the night before the wedding and spend time with you while getting ready. Your dad could enjoy a morning round of golf with some of the wedding party. Your maid of honor would have been present for your getting-ready

photos instead of trying to find the DJ, and the details of your ceremony would have been checked and double-checked again to ensure everything was ready before you arrived.

Your day of coordinator (If they are one of the good ones) always has your best interest in mind during the event. They will ensure you are having fun, get you drinks, keep the night moving along according to plan, and put out any fires before you can even smell the smoke. Not to mention they make for an easy and stress-free exit at the end of the night, making sure gifts, decor, and people get to where they need to go after you head off to enjoy your wedding night with your new life partner.

Weddings can occur without a day off coordinator, but the amount of stress they can relieve is worth their weight in gold. Not only will you be able to enjoy your wedding day, but all of your friends and family will too.
